August 15-16, 2022, from 1400-1800 UTC.
The AI2ES Risk Communication team is hosting a virtual workshop to discuss the conceptualization, measurement, and modeling of trust and trustworthiness in AI/ML. The goal is to bring together social, geophysical, and computational scientists to evaluate the conceptualization, measurement, and modeling of trust and trustworthiness of AI/ML for the environmental sciences. We will do this by taking a risk communication and decision-making perspective and aiming to understand the antecedents and outcomes of trust and trustworthiness, which will build toward producing a research agenda. In doing so, this workshop will provide guidance and insight on the empirical trust research initiated in AI2ES, and it will facilitate convergence research beyond AI2ES.
Registered attendees can access all the workshop materials here.
